Data we process

VoteWorld may process account data, profile settings, selected region, polls you create, votes you cast, comments, reports, thumbs, login metadata and basic technical security data. A vote may retain the country resolved approximately from the connection IP at vote time; the raw voter IP, raw browser token and raw user-agent identifier are not stored on the vote, although approved pseudonymous hashes may be retained for anonymous vote integrity and abuse limits. VoteWorld also keeps privacy-safe daily aggregate traffic statistics such as unclassified public browser HTML entries, country and city counters derived transiently through local GeoIP, poll-list clicks, coarse referrer sources/domains, public poll IDs and crawler categories. Staff/moderator traffic, redirects and recognized crawlers are excluded from browser-entry counts, but repeat requests and browser-like automation may remain. These site statistics do not store raw visitor IP addresses, raw user-agent strings, full referrer URLs, anonymous voter tokens or a persistent analytics identifier.

Sensitive opinions

Votes, polls and comments may reveal political opinions, health views, religious or philosophical views, or other sensitive information. Do not vote or comment while logged in unless you accept that VoteWorld stores this activity linked to your account until you anonymize your account or the data is otherwise removed.

Purpose

We use the data to provide polling features, show regional/topic results, prevent abuse, moderate content, secure accounts and improve the service.

Cookies and local storage

VoteWorld uses essential session cookies and local storage for login, security and user interface preferences such as display mode, selected region and settings. If non-essential analytics or advertising cookies are added later, they should only be used with appropriate consent.

Your rights

Logged-in users can download their account data from Edit Profile. You can also request access, correction or deletion/anonymization by contacting us. Account anonymization removes direct account identifiers but keeps public polls, votes, comments and reports for result integrity.

Retention

Public content and vote records may be retained to preserve poll integrity. Security and login records may be retained for abuse prevention and operational security.
